Colour Trends For 2024 - Part Two
A new year brings fresh colour palettes and endless styling opportunities for your wardrobe. Join me as I continue to explore my favourite colour trends for 2024.
Spring Colour Trends
Continuing from last weeks edit featuring peach fuzz, red, metallics, and watery blues I wanted to share the other colour trends that have taken my fancy and that I am looking forward to styling on myself and my clients this coming season.
As long as January can feel, I do enjoy this time of year to plan ahead and I always find myself wanting to declutter and organise my life and in particular, my wardrobe! So when the colour trends are released I love going through my wardrobe to see what I already have and then make a list of which shades I am missing that would freshen up my look for the coming months and is a key part in planning my seasonal wish list.
Brown
Brown is shade that often gets an unwelcome reaction when I suggest it to a lot of clients as it’s a colour that many of us left behind in the noughts (think long slung brown coin belts, brown suede or leather jackets, brown gypsey skirts and brown handbags) but now we are seeing a modern take on the shade and it with it being so much softer on most of our skin tones than black, I am starting to see a shift with plenty of us (myself including) injecting it into our wardrobes such as puffer and wool coats, beanies, tailoring and knitwear.
From chocolate, to chestnut, to almond and tan it can be a really versatile colour to play around with and can look incredible styled with lime green, purple and this years hottest shade - peach.

Almost Yellow
See this shade as a neutral that can be paired with almost any colour scheme and as an ideal way to lighten up a darker blazer or cardigan. If your white t-shirts are looking a little sad then an update in almost yellow will freshen up your wardrobe for spring. Why not try mixing almost yellow with mid denim, charcoal and other shades of grey, chocolate brown or head to toe yellow in different tones once the weather warms up.

Pistachio (and green in general!)
This particular fresh shade of green exudes calmness and serenity. There is a shade of green out there for everyone this season but this in-between, pastely shade is particularly fun to style with other mid tone shades such as candy pink, clementine, lemon yellow & sky blue so think bleach denims and lift with white. If light and pastel shades aren’t for you then opt for lime for a more zingy and bolder nod to the trend like adding a pop of colour to a neutral look with a lime tote bag.

I hope both of my colour trend reports from the last two weeks have helped to lift the January blues and provide you with some inspiration around what you can be injecting into your wardrobes to update your look ahead of and into spring.
Stay tuned for this months ‘How to Love Your Wardrobe Masterclass’ which is all about how to create a colourful capsule wardrobe based around 36 pieces from my wardrobe, I am so excited to share it with you!
