The Monthly Edit - 25 Separates Outfits Made Easy
If you struggle styling separates this M&S edit is here to give you fresh inspiration in time for spring.
Hi how are you?
My week has been a mixture of client shopping appointments, event & content planning which has been loads of fun but finished off with a dose of unwanted germs has left me feeling rather wiped! It really does feel like we are approaching warmer months, I even invested in a new pair of sliders but for now I will be definitely wearing them with socks. Below is an oufit that I very much enjoyed wearing on Monday and I can’t wait to wear them both together. I have had a lot of messages since posting it on my stories with people saying they have both the Damson Madder insta famous gilet but struggle to style it, if in doubt add stripes I say.

Online marketing and social media can be very good at making you feel like you need to be keeping up with the latest must have item, here at How To Love Your Wardrobe I feel very passionately about spreading the message of repeat wearing and buying into new items that you A) actually need B) suit you and reflect your personality and lifestyle and C) are good quality (not necessarily expensive) pieces that can be enjoyed over and over again with pride, our clothes are made to be worn and that should be celebrated!
Before purchasing I always ask myself if I have at least three ways of wearing that item with other pieces from my existing wardrobe, or if not ensuring that I invest in a complete outfit to minimise the risk of an unworn lone ranger lurking in the back of my wardrobe that makes me feel guilty every time I look at it, sound familiar?
This months style edit looks a little different as I wanted to bring you a feature that demonstrates what you can do if you shop with a clear plan, along with providing you with some outfit combinations that you can create with the pieces in your existing wardrobe, if you have similar styles already.
The products featured are based around a recent personal shop with a new client who was investing time and money into discovering her relaxed and colourful style and pretty much needed to buy a new wardrobe due to body shape changes after becoming a mum.
We began our journey with colour analysis so when we shopped we knew exactly which shades suited her complexion, making our time together so much more efficient. Comfort was key and practicality was essential so everything needed to be washable and durable enough for playing on the floor with a small child, park trips etc.
