The Monthly Edit - February
Sharing all things from essential wardrobes staples to see you through the end of winter to sustainable shout outs, dressing for your colour season, this months beauty recommendation and more.
Now we are through with what feels like the longest month of the year you might be feeling like it’s time to start making plans on your social calendar, which for many people often leads to slight panic around what on earth to wear?!
I always find that February feels like the end of winter is in sight and spring is just around the corner, with the evenings becoming lighter the the harshness of winter can start to lift a little, so it’s an ideal time to reflect on your style and assess if your clothing has been working for you.
The best place to start this time of year is with wardrobe staples. Staples are not always necessarily basics as you might think and can vary from person to person depending on lifestyle, appearance and character. They are pieces that you can rely on time and time again which form the backbone of your wardrobe. Once you have those items nailed, you will instantly find that adding to them seasonally becomes so much easier, enabling you to evolve your style and create varied outfit combinations with ease.
This month I am going to be focusing the ‘How to Love Your Wardrobe” weekly top picks and the Monthly Masterclass on those very important items and basing each edit around what I have found, from experience working as a personal stylist are, and sharing my recommendations with you.

So many of my clients feel stuck in a rut of jeans and a jumper in autumn/winter, then jeans and a t-shirt or lightweight top in spring/summer so across this next month I am going to show you some ways of elevating these looks in simple ways through layering, adding accessories and working with print and texture
Outfit Inspo - Straight Leg Jeans and Wet Weather Essentials
Straight fitting jeans are a style that suits most body shapes as they are great for creating balance so if you are stuck in a rut of skinny and want to venture into something new, or you are well and truly back in the 90s era of baggy jeans and fancy something more fitted for a change, then this Hush pair are the ones to try. If you are tummy conscious don’t be put off by the buttons at the front, in actual fact they can be great for creating length and drawing the eyes up and down, shifting the focus away from your tummy area.
We have had so much wet weather recently which can easily throw off our style in the quest to not get wet (I often grab my husbands walking jacket…!) so investing in a staple mac, stylish wellies and a funky umbrella will elevate any look, while keeping you nice and dry at the same time.
