The Monthly Masterclass - Creating a Colourful Capsule Wardrobe
A minimal and neutral capsule wardrobe can feel a little uninspiring for some, join Laura as she dives into her own wardrobe and takes you through how to formulate a colourful mix & match wardrobe.
When researching capsule wardrobes we are often presented with staples in neutrals that reflect more of a minimal style. For those of us who’s personal style involves a more varied colour pallet and an eclectic vibe who may find those basic items a little uninspiring, I thought we could dive into my own wardrobe and explore how it is possible to stick to a small number of pieces that you can create multiple fun and bolder looks from.
I selected 39 pieces including three pairs of versatile footwear to try on and as I wanted to focus on outfits that can be worn most of the year round, I decided to leave out outerwear. I managed to create 41 looks and film them in just over 2.5 hours, but to be perfectly honest I know I could have carried on mixing them up and making more outfits for another hour or so, it really is that much fun and easy to do once you have the right items in your wardrobe that work well for you.
I hope you enjoy watching this masterclass and come away with some colourful inspiration, new ways of styling up your existing clothing and if you are working towards a less is more approach I hope that it helps to guide you with which key items you may be missing from your wardrobe to tie your look together.
Enjoy!
